Terms of Use
The rules that apply when you access or use StackClear.
On this page
Effective October 8, 2026
These terms cover StackClear accounts, library and social features, imports, user content, and the optional Pro membership.
Operator and Acceptance
StackClear is an independent service operated by a sole developer in Quebec, Canada (referred to as “StackClear,” “we,” or “us”). You can contact StackClear at support@stackclear.net. By accessing or using the website, Android application, accounts, or related services, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use StackClear.
Age and Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old to use StackClear. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use StackClear only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. StackClear is not directed to children under 14.
Accounts and Security
You are responsible for the information submitted through your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information, update it when necessary, and notify support@stackclear.net if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. You may connect only gaming or store accounts that you own or are authorized to use.
Library, Imports, and Game Information
StackClear lets you organize a game library, track status, progress, playtime, ratings, reviews, notes, achievements, statistics, and XP, and import supported data from Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Xbox, PlayStation, and RetroAchievements. Imports are optional and show a preview before games are added. StackClear Pro members can turn on daily auto-sync, which sends newly found games to Game imports for review and refreshes playtime, activity, and achievements for games already in the library. Imported data and catalog information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing imported information and complying with the terms of each connected service.
Profiles, Social Features, and User Content
Usernames, avatars, profile backgrounds, avatar outlines, equipped profile titles, levels, and supporter status are public profile elements, even when a profile is private. Full names, biographies, library and favorites, play history and statistics (including leaderboard placement), achievements, reviews, custom lists, and activity follow the audience chosen for each in Privacy & Content (public, mutual follows, or only you; lists can also be unlisted), and the profile audience limits all of them. Members you block, and members who block you, cannot see this content. Daily check-ins, Weekly Drops, community events, and the cosmetic rewards they unlock are free, cannot be bought, have no monetary value, and may change or end. You are responsible for content you upload or submit. You grant StackClear a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Acceptable Use, Moderation, and Appeals
Do not interfere with StackClear, access another person’s account, scrape or probe the service without permission, upload malicious or unlawful material, impersonate others, harass users, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, manipulate rankings, or use the service for fraud. Text submitted for publication may be checked automatically for harmful content. We may reject or remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights. If you believe an automated or manual moderation decision was mistaken, request a human review at support@stackclear.net.
StackClear Pro Membership
StackClear offers an optional auto-renewing Pro membership through Patreon. Pro members support continued development and receive daily library auto-sync, custom lists, profile-personalization options, and supporter features. Core game tracking remains free. Patreon controls checkout, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under the terms shown on Patreon. The Membership Terms also apply.
Third-Party Services and Content
StackClear relies on third-party infrastructure, payment providers, app stores, identity providers, game-data providers, and connected gaming services. Their products, availability, content, and data practices are governed by their own terms and policies. StackClear is not affiliated with or endorsed by game publishers, storefronts, console platforms, or catalog providers unless expressly stated.
Ownership
StackClear, its software, branding, visual design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Game names, artwork, trademarks, and other third-party content belong to their respective owners. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use StackClear for its intended purpose.
Service Availability and Product Changes
We may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, integrations, or the service. We will provide notice of material changes when required by law. StackClear is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
Account Suspension, Termination, and Deletion
You may stop using StackClear or delete your account through Account Settings. Deleting or disconnecting StackClear does not cancel a Patreon membership; cancellation must be completed on Patreon. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach of these terms, unlawful activity, a security risk, or conduct that harms users or the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits, continue to apply.
Disclaimers and Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StackClear is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or losses caused by third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. You are responsible for keeping any copies of information you need outside the service.
Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without limiting mandatory consumer or privacy rights available under the law where you live. Subject to those mandatory rights, disputes will be brought in the courts of Quebec, Canada.
Changes to These Terms and Contact
We may update these terms for product, security, operational, or legal reasons. When required by applicable consumer law, we will send written notice at least 30 days before a material unilateral change, describing the amended or new provision, its previous wording where applicable, the effective date, and any right to reject the change and cancel the affected contract. Other changes take effect on the date stated in the updated terms, subject to mandatory law. Questions can be sent to support@stackclear.net.
